A Letter From The Head

I am proud to be writing to you as Head Teacher of Hanham High School, a school with an excellent reputation for its examination success and for providing a high quality education for pupils of all abilities from 11 to 18.

Hanham High School is a Performing Arts College, specialising in Music, Drama and Dance, with a strong emphasis on working with our wider community.

The school serves a large area, with the majority of pupils coming from Kingswood, Hanham and their neighbouring areas as well as East Bristol. Our partner primary schools include Hanham Abbots and Samuel White’s, Christ Church, Beacon Rise and Our Lady of Lourdes, the first three of these sharing our campus.

There are exciting developments underway in the school, with the emphasis being very much upon improving learning. For example, new facilities have been built, the curriculum extended, links with post 16 providers enhanced and involvement in a DfES pathfinder initiative at 14-19.
