Personal Challenge and Careers

Key Stage 3

In Year 7 the pupils study many aspects of Personal, Social, Careers, Citizenship and Social Education (PSCCHE) including co-operation; gender; environment; safety; sex education; drug education and careers education. The course looks both at information and at the skills of decision making and thinking skills.
 


Key Stage 4

In Year 11 all pupils follow a General Studies GCSE course incorporating the following compulsory subjects: sex education; drug education; careers education and guidance as well as Religious Education.In Year 10 pupils follow a Preparation for Life Award which leads to a Level 1 or 2 award in Careers Education.
 


Post 16

Social Education is addressed in the Core Curriculum as part of General Studies AS/A Level.
